Shrink ranges in congested areas with an sxl mac
- SXL MACs can shrink the ranges of all the forklifts at a loading dock or other congested area to improve the operation.
- With only one SXL-MAC the ranges of up to 8-12 forklifts at a docking port can be commanded to shrink so that Personal Alarm Devices will only alarm when close to one forklift or between two of them.
- Using an SXL-MAC will also typically prevent forklifts from alarming each other unless they are adjacent to each other. It can be set to mute all forklifts at the dock.
- Installation of this very powerful tool is simple, only requiring 115 VAC, and a suitable mounting location in the dock area or other congested area. Location is not sensitive.
- In combination with this tool, there are dip-switches inside the HIT-NOT systems that change how alarms are given, frequency and duration, to the Operator, typically chosen based on the configuration of the facility. This design retains safety features with minimum nuisance alarms.
- AI Cameras would have much difficulty creating this kind of system architecture, even if possible.
