HIT-NOT® Silent Zones in Safe Areas
- In some facilities, there are one or more work stations that are located within an area where forklifts are very active. These locations are made safe by bollards, low walls, or other means that may be movable from time to time.
- When a worker exits from their safe location, there may be danger of being hit so that person should be outfitted with a PERSONAL Alarm Device to warn themselves and also warn operators if the person becomes in close proximity with a forklift.
- While a person is in that safe zone, their alarm should be muted such that it will be automatically activated when they step out of that zone. A small SpotZ silencer does that function.
- Silencers are also available for use in office areas or break rooms so that personnel in the room and operators on passing forklifts are not given alarms while the personnel are in the safe room.
- When a person begins to exit, the silencer zone ends and the magnetic field from a passing forklift will pass through the wall to automatically, actively warn the operator and PERSONALLY warn the worker before they exit into a roadway or forklift-active area.
