Impact Alerts

HITNOT® Impact Alerts provide detailed reporting of forklift impacts, helping identify unsafe operating conditions, operator training opportunities, and potential equipment damage.

Track impact events by forklift, direction, severity, date, and time.

Detailed Impact Event Reporting

Every recorded impact provides actionable information, including:

  • Truck number associated with the impact event.
  • Exact timestamp showing when the impact occurred.
  • Direction of travel at the time of impact.
  • Indicates whether the truck was traveling forks-first or motor-first.
  • Reports whether the truck was operating above or below the customer-defined target speed.
  • Identifies the direction of the impact (forward, reverse, or side).
  • Records impact severity based on measured G-force – 3 levels!
  • Provides critical information for incident investigation and operator coaching.

More Than Just Impact Counts

HITNOT® Impact Reporting not only tells you that an impact occurred, but it also provides the details needed to understand what happened.

  • Which truck was involved.
  • When the event occurred.
  • How the truck was traveling.
  • Whether speed was a contributing factor.
  • The severity and direction of the impact.
  • Whether the truck was operating above or below the customer’s target speed at the time of impact.

This information helps safety managers identify trends, improve operator training, reduce equipment damage, strengthen workplace safety programs, and increase accountability across the fleet.

Fleet-Wide Visibility

  • Track impacts across individual forklifts or the entire fleet.
  • Identify high-impact vehicles and operating areas.
  • Monitor trends over time.
  • Support operator coaching and safety improvement programs.
  • Reduce unreported damage and maintenance costs.
  • Provide management with meaningful data for continuous safety improvement.

This video shows an example of a level 3 impact. Once recorded, the HIT-NOT® REM System will alert management.

Forward Direction Impacts

  • Number of impacts per day, per truck, greater than 1G in the Forward Direction during a selected week.
  • Number of impacts per day, per truck, greater than 4G in the Forward Direction during a selected week.
  • Quickly identify patterns of aggressive driving or repeated impacts.
  • Compare impact activity across an entire forklift fleet.

Reverse Direction Impacts

  • Number of impacts per day, per truck, greater than 1G in the Reverse Direction during a selected week.
  • Number of impacts per day, per truck, greater than 4G in the Reverse Direction during a selected week.
  • Monitor backing incidents and impacts that may otherwise go unreported.
  • Improve operator awareness and accountability.

Severe Impact alerts

  • Reports any shock-impact in any direction greater than 6G.
  • Provides the exact timestamp of the event.
  • Records the truck number and forklift serial number associated with the impact.
  • Allows management to quickly investigate significant incidents.
  • Helps identify events that may require equipment inspection or maintenance.
